H.E.L.P Helping Endangered Lives Prosper, is a non-profit charitable trust which aims to help the poor across South Asia fulfill their basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing. While many of us in Americas have become accustomed to luxurious lives, there are millions out there waiting for a grain of food to come their way. Being engaged in our daily routines, we tend to forget that as human beings, it becomes our DUTY to help the less fortunate and try to assure that our children do not starve to death. At H.E.L.P., we simply try to provide food, warm clothing, blankets, old clothes, employment conveniences to those who can not afford them. During our recent visit to India, we bought 125 blankets for children on streets and 12 rickshaws for families who did not have any income coming their way from any sources. Our aim at H.E.L.P is to raise as much as possible for these struggling families and ANYONE who is interested can come along to a South-asian country and DIRECTLY help those in need. This way, the donator will know EXACTLY what their money is being used for and it makes that much easier for us to assure that the donations are going where they should be. We would also be doing ELDER FOLKS OUTINGS, where elder members of our community can go on a field trip, enjoy themselves and mingle with each other. Anyone who is interested to help out in collecting donations, volunteering for other activities or simply wanting to be a part of this great effort; please do not hesitate to contact us at charities@southasians.ca. We would LOVE any and all the help we can get, especially from students organizations, community and religious organization. Please help us make H.E.L.P a greater organization and help us in bettering the lives of million of less fortunate individuals.
